Why should you insure?
When Allied Pickfords moves your goods abroad, you can be
assured that we will do our best to ensure they arrive at your new home safe
and sound. After your goods are packed they will pass into the hands of other
organisations including shipping companies, airlines and handling agents. Most
shipments reach their final destination in good condition, but from time to
time accidents do happen for a variety of reasons. It is for these reasons that
we strongly advise that you take out insurance.
What do I need to do?
You will need to complete a proposal form. You will also need
to declare the replacement value as new in the country you are moving to.

is designed to ensure that in the event of loss or damage, your valued
possessions will be covered from the moment we arrive in your home, right
through to delivery at your new location.

As well as our standard policy, you can also choose from a
range of options which will extend your insurance cover, including:

Pairs and sets insurance - Additional
protection of a complete pair or set if only one part of the set is damaged or
lost

– additional protection for the derangement of electrical and mechanical goods

Packing and shipping insurance – recover your packing and shipping costs

No excess to pay
Unlike other moving companies, Allied Pickfords' insurance has
no excess to pay so in the event of a claim there are no surprises for our
customers.
In house claims settlement
In the event of a claim, Allied Pickfords will settle claims
promptly through our in-house claims department. We take complete
responsibility for claims management, using loss adjusters where appropriate,
and never pass the management of claims to a third party
